CM COMES FORWARD TO SAVE LIFE OF 'MANGANIYAR' ARTIST DARE KHAN
Rs. 5 LAKH SANCTIONED FROM CM RELIEF FUND
Jaisalmer, May 20. Entertaining world with his 'Kamayacha' recital, son of Thar dersert and 'Manganiyar artist, Dare Khan got great relief when the Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot extended his hand for providing economic assistance of Rs.5.50 lakh for his kidney transplantation.
Admitted in a hospital in New Delhi, 30 years old Dare Khan's kidney has to be transplanted and the doctors have given an estimate of Rs.5.5 lakh for kidney transplantation. When the well wishers of Dare Khan informed the Chief Minister about his illness, he sanctioned the whole amount from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund without any delay.
Now Dare Khan will not have to struggle with the economic problems for his treatment because of the sensitiveness of the Chief Minister and his patronage to the artists of the state. Dare Khan's wife Champa is donating one of her kidney. Dare Khan is on Dialysis at the Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute in New Delhi these days.
Dare Khan is not the first artist for whose help the Chief Minister has come forward. Earlier also the Chief Minister showed this honour when he got the information through a newspaper that the famous Theatre and Film Artist A.K. Hangal was not in a position to afford his treatment. That time also the Chief Minister sent assistance of Rs. 2 lakhs immediately to A.K. Hangal in Mumbai.
Son of Sakar Khan the famous 'Kamayacha' artist who had been honoured with Sangeet Natak Academy Prize, Dare Khan started 'Kamachaya' recital from the age of six years and till now he had conducted his shows in Paris, London, Washington besides New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad including various prestigious programmes in the country and abroad.
