Flood relief by Air Force Stn Jodhpur and Phalodi
A request was recieved from DC Jalore through the state government for evacuation of stranded people at village Nohra and Gajjipura, Tehsil Bhinmal due to heavy flow of water in River Nimbawas. Considering the urgent requirement to rescue and airlift the stranded persons, IAF Helicopters were pressed into action. Two helicopters were launched from the IAF air bases at Jodhpur and Phalodi and all the stranded people were evacuated to safety. The pilots braved the adverse weather conditions and evacuated everybody safely including women and children.
